Vintage Persol Eyewear

Guiseppe Ratti the founder of Persol starting making a name for himself in eyewear in 1917, as one of the first optometrists to experiment with smoked tints. The Persol brand as we know it, however, only emerged in the 1930s with the iconic silver arrow. In the 60s the brand really started to make a mark with icons such as Steve McQueen wearing the 649 and folding 714 in the Thomas Crown Affair. Persol was purchased by Luxottica group in 1995 but many of the frames are still made in their original factories in Turin. Explore our collection of vintage Persol eyewear today.

More than eyewear

OUR VALUES

The principles that guide Ed & Sarna — from authenticity and craftsmanship to sustainability and personal connection — define everything we curate and create.

Authenticity Above All

Every frame we offer is genuine. From vintage originals sourced across Europe and the US to our own designs crafted with old-world techniques, authenticity is the foundation of Ed & Sarna.

Craftsmanship That Endures

We believe eyewear should last decades, not seasons. Our curation and our creations are defined by superior materials, meticulous finishing, and optical precision.

Style With Substance

Eyewear is more than function — it’s expression. We celebrate individuality by offering frames that make a statement, pairing timeless heritage with bold creativity.

Sustainable Luxury

Vintage is the ultimate form of sustainable fashion. By giving historic frames a new life and producing small-batch collections, we combine ecological responsibility with uncompromising style.

Innovation With Integrity

We push design forward while respecting the past — creating new frames inspired by iconic eras, always crafted responsibly and with transparency.

Personal Connection

We keep it personal. From lens fitting to styling advice, our team is directly involved at every step — because true luxury is not just product, but experience.
