Do you offer warranties?
All eyewear shipped by Ed & Sarna Vintage will have been sent out in the best possible condition. But because our products are all vintage, it is impossible to offer any extended warranties. If you follow our care tips and look after your glasses they can last a lifetime.
What material are your lenses?
All our lenses are CR39 which is a modern impact resistant lens used for most luxury eyewear today.
What level of protection do your lenses offer?
All of our lenses are able to filter UVA and UVB light rays with wavelengths of 400 nanometers. This will provide complete protection for your retinas for everyday wear. Have a look at our blog post on custom lenses for more info.
What is "new old stock"?
The definition of new old stock is any vintage optical frame that has not been pre-owned by another customer, the important distinction is they are NOT second-hand frames that someone has worn for years and then either grown tired of or upgraded.
What style of frame will suit my face?
HEART FACE SHAPE: Look out for frames that are wider at the top than the bottom, such as wayfarer, clubmaster and cateye styles.
ROUND FACE SHAPE: We suggest going for oversized frames in the wayfarer, cateye or square styles.
OVAL FACE SHAPE: Arguably you can get away with almost any style and they will look great on you!!
SQUARE FACE SHAPE: Soften the face by going for styles such as oval, rounds, gatsby and classic aviators frames.
Are vintage sunglasses safe?
Yes, we check all the frames over and refit their lenses if needed up to modern safety standards with CR39 UV400 lenses that comply with all EU safety regulations.
What is the best way to clean my glasses?
The best way to clean your glasses is using warm water and mild soap, then pat dry with a paper towel. For everyday cleaning use your Ed & Sarna microfibre cloth which comes with your case.
